National Donate Life Month is here! This month promotes organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation. During this month, many reflect on the importance of registering for organ donation, along with celebrating the gift of life!
Founded in 1992, Donate Life America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing the number of donated organs, eyes, and tissues available to heal and save lives. The logo has blue and green colors, along with a swirl. These elements represent the sky, earth, and circle of life. The main values that Donate Life promote are honor, trust, hope, unity, gratitude, and celebration.
The Donate Life garden displays an ecosystem of planets, insects, and other components that represent a living system. The idea behind this is that organ donation nourishes and enhances lives today.
